Dr. Winifred Adefolahan Awosika

High Chief Dr. (Mrs.) Winifred Adefolahan Awosika, OON, is a Nigerian educationist, administrator and founder of Chrisland Schools. Her journey in education began with teaching her young son at home, an initiative that grew into a nursery school and eventually Chrisland School, which officially opened on October 3, 1977. Under her leadership, Chrisland expanded from its first school into a wider educational network spanning nursery, primary, secondary, pre-degree and university education. She led the establishment of Chrisland School VGC, which opened in 1998, and later oversaw the development of Chrisland University. Awosika holds a BA Honours degree from the University of Ibadan and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Lagos. She was awarded the national honour of OON for her contributions to education and the economy.
