Julius Berger

Julius Berger was a German entrepreneur and construction pioneer who founded the construction business that bears his name in Berlin in 1905. He began his career in the family transport business before becoming increasingly involved in the transportation of construction materials and developing his own construction enterprise. The business grew into an international engineering and construction company and later established a significant presence in Nigeria. Its Nigerian operations began in 1965 with the construction of the Eko Bridge in Lagos, while Julius Berger Nigeria was incorporated as a Nigerian company in 1970. Berger's entrepreneurial foundation established the business legacy from which the modern Julius Berger organization developed.
