Roosevelt Ogbonna is a Nigerian banking executive and finance professional serving as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank Plc. He joined Access Bank in 2002 after previously working with Guaranty Trust Bank and progressed through senior leadership positions including Executive Director, Group Deputy Managing Director and Managing Director/CEO. He was appointed Managing Director and CEO in May 2022. Ogbonna has more than two decades of banking experience spanning commercial banking, corporate leadership and financial services. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers, and a CFA charterholder. His professional and academic background includes an MBA from IMD Business School, an LL.M. in International Corporate and Commercial Law from King's College London, and an Executive MBA from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
