Mitchell Elegbe

Mitchell Elegbe is the founder and Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Interswitch Group, a Nigerian-founded financial technology and digital payments company established in 2002. He conceived and founded Interswitch to address challenges within Nigeria's payments ecosystem and has led the company through its development into a major payments and digital commerce business serving individuals, financial institutions and governments across Africa. Before establishing Interswitch, Elegbe worked in business development at TELNET and as a Wireline Engineer at Schlumberger. He holds an Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree from the University of Benin and has completed the IESE/Wharton/CEIBS Global CEO Program. He has received multiple entrepreneurship and business leadership recognitions.
