Dr. Stephen Banahene

Dr. Stephen Banahene is an academic and university administrator whose career at Christian Service University has included teaching, research and leadership across several academic and administrative departments. The university’s Governing Council appointed him Acting Vice-Chancellor effective 1 October 2025, following his service as Pro Vice-Chancellor. His appointment made him the institution’s fourth head and its second Vice-Chancellor under chartered status. Banahene joined Christian Service University in 2006 and has held several leadership roles, including Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Research, Dean of the School of Business, Head of the Department of Marketing, and Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance. This progression has given him experience across academic management, postgraduate education and business-related disciplines. He holds a PhD in Business Management from Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica, an MA in Industrial Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a postgraduate diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in the United Kingdom, and a BA (Hons) from the University of Ghana.
