Geregu Power Plc

Geregu Power Plc is a Nigerian electricity generation company operating the Geregu Power Plant in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. The plant was developed by the Federal Government of Nigeria and commenced commercial power generation in 2007. It was subsequently privatized, with Amperion Power Distribution Company Limited acquiring the plant in 2013 and eventually becoming its 100% owner in 2021. Geregu Power was listed on the Main Board of the Nigerian Exchange in October 2022, becoming the first power-generating company admitted to the NGX Main Board. Its gas-fired generating plant has an installed capacity of 435 MW and supplies electricity to Nigeria's national grid.
