Pascal Soriot is a French pharmaceutical executive who has served as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of AstraZeneca since October 2012. Before joining AstraZeneca, he was Chief Operating Officer of Roche's Pharmaceuticals division and previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Genentech. He has held senior management positions across major pharmaceutical markets including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the United States and Switzerland. At AstraZeneca, Soriot has led the company's transformation into a global, science-led biopharmaceutical business, overseeing its research, development, commercial strategy and international growth. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree and an MBA from HEC Paris. In 2022, he received a knighthood for services to life sciences and leadership in the global response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
