Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, CFR

Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede is a Nigerian banker, entrepreneur, investor and philanthropist who co-founded the transformed Access Bank franchise with Herbert Wigwe following their acquisition of Access Bank in 2002. He served as Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank from 2002 to 2013, leading a major transformation that expanded the bank from a relatively small Nigerian institution into a significant financial services group. Under his leadership, Access Bank pursued rapid growth, strengthened its corporate and investment banking capabilities and expanded beyond Nigeria. Aig-Imoukhuede subsequently founded the Aig-Imoukhuede Foundation and has remained active in business, investment, philanthropy and public-sector development. He returned to Access Holdings as Chairman in 2024.
