Eke Urum

Eke Urum is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rise, the digital wealth-management company established around the challenge of limited access to foreign-currency investment opportunities for investors in emerging markets. The idea behind the business began in 2014, when Urum and the founding team identified currency shocks, inflation and devaluation as barriers to wealth creation. Rise was subsequently established in 2019 with Bosun Olanrewaju and Tony Odiba, initially connecting users to dollar-denominated investment opportunities in developed markets.
Under Urum's leadership, Rise has expanded its investment platform across products including U.S. stocks, fixed income and U.S. real estate, while also expanding through its acquisition of Kenyan investment company Hisa.
