Richmond Bassey

Richmond Bassey is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bamboo, the Nigerian digital investment company he established with Yanmo Omorogbe in 2019. Bamboo began by giving Nigerian investors digital access to U.S. stocks, including fractional shares, addressing the practical barriers that had made participation in international markets difficult for individual investors. Bassey has remained central to the company's development as it expanded into Nigerian securities, savings, Treasury Bills and dollar-denominated fixed-income products.
As CEO, Bassey has led Bamboo's development from an online brokerage platform into a broader digital investment business operating across several African markets.
