Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH)

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) is a public technology-focused university located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria. Established in 1990 by the former Oyo State Government, the institution was created to provide university-level education and research with a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering and applied disciplines. It was named in honour of Ladoke Akintola, a prominent Nigerian political leader and former Premier of the Western Region.
The university's academic scope has expanded substantially since its establishment. Although technology and applied science remain central to its identity, LAUTECH now offers programmes across engineering, computing, pure and applied sciences, agricultural sciences, environmental sciences, management, social sciences, medicine, nursing and other health-related disciplines. Its postgraduate programmes and research activities have further strengthened its role as a major higher-education institution in southwestern Nigeria.
