Redeemer’s University

Redeemer’s University is a private, faith-based Nigerian university established by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). The institution grew from the church’s long-standing interest in contributing to university education in Nigeria, particularly through an educational model combining academic training with moral development, entrepreneurship and service. The university received its Federal Government operating licence on January 7, 2005, and developed its permanent campus in Ede, Osun State. Its institutional history reflects the broader expansion of faith-based private higher education in Nigeria following the reopening of the sector to private universities in the 1990s.
