Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu

Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu is an academic, artist, art historian and university administrator whose career has been closely associated with Ladoke Akintola University of Technology. He joined the institution in September 1992 and rose through its academic and administrative ranks, becoming Professor of Arts and Art History in 1999. His academic specialisation includes form and material technology, with his professional work extending across art, design, materials and university education. His institutional leadership experience includes serving as Head of the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of the Committee of Deans and Provosts. He also served as Acting Vice-Chancellor from June 2023 before being appointed substantive Vice-Chancellor in June 2024.
