LemFi

Fintech • London, United Kingdom

LemFi is a financial-technology company founded in 2020 by Ridwan Olalere and Rian Cochran to address the financial difficulties faced by immigrants and people who live and work across borders. The company began as Lemonade Finance, focusing on international money transfers for African migrants, and developed its platform around the ability to move money between countries more directly and at lower cost. The founders brought experience from African fintech companies including Flutterwave and OPay, where they had worked on payment infrastructure, operations and financial services. LemFi has since expanded beyond remittances into a broader cross-border financial-services platform, offering international transfers, multi-currency wallets and global accounts for customers receiving and managing income across currencies. Its current services include transfers to more than 30 countries, while the company operates through regulated entities and partners across the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and other markets.
