NASCO Group is a privately held Nigerian manufacturing and consumer-goods group with roots dating to 1963, when it established a jute-bag factory in Jos, described by the company as the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa. Over more than six decades, NASCO has developed into a diversified manufacturer and distributor of food and household products, with operations spanning cereals, biscuits, detergents, soaps, cosmetics, packaging, rice processing and related businesses. Its manufacturing operations are concentrated around a large industrial complex in Jos, while its distribution network extends across Nigeria and West Africa. NASCO states that 30 of its brands are certified under the ECOWAS Trade Liberalisation Scheme for export across the West African economic zone.
