Zone Payment Network

Fintech • Lagos, Nigeria

Zone Payment Network is a Nigerian payment-infrastructure company that evolved from Appzone, a financial-technology business founded in 2008 to develop software and infrastructure for banks and other financial institutions. Appzone expanded from banking software and services into areas including core banking, digital banking, card issuance, lending automation and payment switching, before the business evolved into Zone and adopted a more focused role in payment infrastructure. In November 2022, Appzone evolved into Zone, which describes its network as Africa's first regulated blockchain network for payments. Zone holds a Central Bank of Nigeria switching and processing licence and operates infrastructure that enables banks, fintechs and other financial institutions to route and process payments through a regulated blockchain network.
