Obi Emetarom is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Zone Payment Network, where he leads the development of regulated payment infrastructure built around blockchain technology. His fintech career predates Zone by more than a decade. In 2008, he co-founded Appzone, a Nigerian financial-technology company that developed banking and payment software for financial institutions and expanded its operations across several African markets.
At Appzone, Emetarom was involved in the company's progression from bespoke banking software into cloud banking, card management, payment switching and other financial infrastructure. The business later evolved into Zone, which became the company's primary payment-infrastructure focus.
