Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF)

The Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) is an African philanthropy focused on empowering entrepreneurs and advancing inclusive economic development across the continent. Founded in 2010 by Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist Tony O. Elumelu, the Foundation supports African entrepreneurs through entrepreneurship programmes, training, mentorship, seed capital, research, advocacy and partnerships. Its flagship Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme was launched as a US$100 million commitment to empower 10,000 African entrepreneurs across all 54 African countries over a 10-year period. The Foundation's work is grounded in Tony Elumelu's philosophy of Africapitalism, which emphasizes the role of African entrepreneurs and the private sector in creating economic prosperity and social wealth.
